About Course

This course is the foundation of all red team engagements. It protects clients and operators by defining clear expectations, securing formal Letters of Authorization and Rules of Engagement, and putting robust communication and deconfliction processes in place to handle the unexpected. A rigorous pre-engagement phase is essential for safe, ethical, and auditable operations. By the end of the course, participants will be able to scope engagements, draft and negotiate RoE and LoA, and establish command, control, and deconfliction plans.

What Will You Learn?

  • Describe the purpose and scope of pre-engagement activities
  • Apply methods to draft and negotiate Rules of Engagement (RoE)
  • Design supporting documentation for legal and safety compliance
  • Evaluate engagement scope to balance realism and safety
  • Develop repeatable templates for authorization and reporting
